I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with prescriptive authority practicing in Portland, Oregon but also maintain licensure in Washington state. PMHNPs are advanced practice nurses with graduate training in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders. I see clients, ages 8 years to 60 years for:

• psychiatric evaluation and assessment;

• psychiatric medication management who are actively engaged and meeting regularly with therapists, with whom I can work closely;

• combination medication & therapy appointments;

• ADHD coaching; and

• culinary medicine.

I believe in assisting my clients (and families) to make positive, healthy, and useful choices for themselves; and in assisting them to discover different, more effective approaches to their lives. I use a collaborative approach to teach coping skills and change techniques working with clients, their families, therapist, and primary care providers. I utilize medication as well as many theoretical approaches including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Supportive therapy. As a licensee of the Oregon Board of Nursing and the Washington Board of Nursing, I abide by their Code of Ethics.
